There are a few error messages that you may get from the print release station when you try to release a print job. Some include:

  • Job name failed
  • Billing balance error
  • Transaction failed
  • Card is not entered in the System (Code = 200)

You should first go back to the original computer where you sent your job from and resend it, just to make sure you typed in your password correctly (especially if you have never had a problem sending a print job before). If you still experience the same error message, contact printing@colby.edu with your name, email address and what the error message was.

For billing balance errors, first check that you have sufficient funds to pay for the job you are releasing.  Second, check with the ColbyCard office, William Pottle, Card Manager, or call ext. 4130

If you get "Error code 206 - system service failure,"  then contact support@colby.edu.

In the meantime, ask for help from one of the library staff who can direct you to a workstation from where you can send a print job.
