Q. Could you explain how to use the Coordinated Direct Investment Survey function of the IMF database?

From the pictured page, reached through the library catalog, select Country under Query Builder.

In the next screen, click to open the list of Countries,

And select one.  I have selected Austria.  Next click Add under Data Source on the left,

And then select Coordinated Direct Investment Survey.

Now edit the URL by removing 0-  and  .library.colby.edu

So that the URL look like this:

Now you can click the green View Data button

And (eventually, after a longish wait) you will get to a screen like this. You can then also use the buttons on the right side of the toolbar to export in various formats.
